Robert Wakefield is an Associate Attorney for Jones Mayer who also serves as an Assistant Court-Appointed Receiver in the Firm’s receivership division. In addition to his receivership duties, Mr. Wakefield also serves as Deputy Assistant City Attorney for Bishop, Citrus Heights, Clearlake, and Nevada City, representing client cities in multiple areas of law, including, but not limited to, health and safety receiverships, law and motion, Pitchess law, code enforcement, unlawful detainer actions, general litigation, transactional, contracts, drafting ordinances, and labor and employment. He has experience in PERB hearings and has attended CALPELRA’s labor relations training courses.
Mr. Wakefield began his legal career in 2006 as a legal assistant for a family law attorney before earning his paralegal certificate in 2007. While working full time as a paralegal, Mr. Wakefield attended law school at Lincoln Law School of Sacramento where he earned his law degree in 2013.
After passing the bar, Mr. Wakefield was promoted to Associate Attorney at a local litigation defense firm in Sacramento. His areas of practice included medical malpractice, elder abuse, premise liability, and personal injury.
Mr. Wakefield joined Jones Mayer in March 2016.
