Jones Mayer has extensive experience serving as hearings officers for cities and public agencies throughout the State of California. This experience gives Jones Mayer attorneys unique insight into the complex legal issues that can arise during municipal hearings and will allow the firm to serve the City of Hayward’s Code Enforcement Division through well-informed, neutral decisions.

He received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and his B.A. in philosophy from Cal Poly Pomona. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2004. Mr. Boyd-Weatherby serves as a hearing administrative officer for more than 15 cities in California and has presided over more than 200 cases as a hearing officer.
Robert Wakefield is an associate attorney for Jones Mayer and has been with Jones Mayer since 2016. Mr. Wakefield received his J.D. from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and his B.A. from the University of California, Davis. Mr. Wakefield serves as deputy assistant city attorney for several cities in multiple areas of law, including, but not limited to, code enforcement, general litigation, transactional, contracts, and labor and employment.
