MARTIN J. MAYER – SUPER LAWYER FOR 2011
February 1, 2011
The firm of JONES & MAYER is proud to announce the selection of its name partner, Martin J. Mayer, as one of southern California’s “Super Lawyers” for 2011, in the areas of Government Law, Employment Law, and Police Litigation.
“Super Lawyers” is a rating service which identifies attorneys from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in their respective fields of law. Each year lawyers throughout the state are asked to nominate attorneys they respect and have observed in action. Each nominee is evaluated by a peer group based on 12 indicators such as professional achievement; experience; honors and awards; lectures and writings; and verdicts and/or settlements.
Candidates are grouped in categories based on their practice areas, as well as the size of their firm, where solo and small firm attorneys are compared with others in those categories. Only five percent of the total lawyers in a state are selected for inclusion in “Super Lawyers.”
JONES & MAYER is a public sector law firm focusing its attention on representing the interests of cities, counties, and special districts (such as school districts, water districts, hospital districts, councils of government, etc.). A significant part of our practice involves assisting law enforcement agencies in defending tort and civil rights actions, personnel matters (including internal affairs investigations and disciplinary proceedings), and administrative actions of all types.
