David J. Mendoza joined Jones Mayer in June of 2025, and works on law and motion and appeals.
Prior to joining Jones Mayer, Mr. Mendoza was a law and motion attorney on a complex trial team, where he handled a wide range of motions and evidence issues. Mr. Mendoza also has experience with appeals and post-trial motions. He obtained a $170,000 reduction in damages through a successful motion for remittitur. He secured a complete affirmance of a defense verdict on appeal, after the plaintiff’s motion for new trial and motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict were denied.
Mr. Mendoza graduated summa cum laude from Whittier Law School in 2017, where he was ranked second in his class. He received a full dean’s merit scholarship, and earned the CALI Award of Excellence for the highest grades in Civil Procedure I, Civil Procedure II, Torts, Federal Courts, and Legal Writing.
