Shannon Patrick is a Deputy City Prosecutor at Jones Mayer, where she provides prosecutorial services to numerous municipalities through municipal code enforcement. Her work is grounded in a strong commitment to justice, community service, and the development of sound legal practices across city governments.
Ms. Patrick earned her undergraduate degree from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where she was accepted into the prestigious University Honors Program. She graduated cum laude in 2021 with Distinction, an honor earned by only about forty students out of a graduating class of approximately 10,000. As part of the Honors Program, she completed advanced coursework and authored an original undergraduate thesis.
She began law school just two months later at Western State College of Law in August 2021. While at Western, Ms. Patrick was an active and dedicated member of the Mock Trial Competition Team, representing the school in multiple interscholastic tournaments. In her final year, she played a leadership role in mentoring and coaching fellow team members, in addition to volunteering her time to score high school mock trial competitions for the County of Los Angeles.
Her commitment to student success extended beyond advocacy and competition—Ms. Patrick founded and served as Vice President of a student organization focused on fostering student confidence, career development, and community service. For her extensive contributions, she received the 2024 Stephen F. Chavez Alumni Leadership Award, presented by Western State faculty and staff in recognition of her leadership, mentorship, and service to the law school community.
Before officially graduating in Fall 2023, Ms. Patrick was selected as one of only ten members of the 2024 Orange County District Attorney Post-Bar Fellowship Class. Just nine days after sitting for the California Bar Exam, she began working full-time for the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, conducting preliminary hearings under the supervision of Deputy District Attorneys. She passed the California Bar Exam and was sworn in as a licensed attorney and prosecutor on the same day in November 2024.
During her time at the DA’s Office, she conducted arraignments, pretrial conferences, and preliminary hearings, responded to motions from defense counsel, prepared jury trials, and tried criminal cases herself.
Ms. Patrick joined Jones Mayer in September 2025, bringing with her a wealth of courtroom experience and a passion for public service. Her practice continues to focus on municipal prosecution and community-centered legal enforcement.
