Thurgood M. Wynn is an Associate Litigation Attorney at Jones Mayer. Mr. Wynn represents and counsels’ governmental entities, public entities, and individual police officers in civil rights actions as well as tort defense and personal injury claims. Since joining the legal profession in 2022, he has quickly emerged as a skilled litigator and zealous advocate.

Prior to the legal profession, Mr. Wynn served for five years as an Information Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. His time in service was characterized by his strong work ethic and leadership across multiple commands resulting in two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals. Transitioning from the military to the legal profession, Mr. Wynn obtained a J.D. from Pepperdine University, Caruso School of Law and his Masters in Dispute Resolution from the world-renowned Straus Institute.

Mr. Wynn began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney, first in Sacramento County and then in Ventura County. As a Deputy District Attorney, he prosecuted various cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies and achieved numerous successful verdicts. After leaving the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Wynn was a successful plaintiff’s attorney for a national civil rights law firm, where he represented families in high-profile civil rights claims. Now, Mr. Wynn brings his profound commitment to service, leadership and justice to representing and counseling law enforcement clients in civil rights litigation. Mr. Wynn is a member of the California State Bar and is also admitted to the Bar of the United States District Court in the Central District of California.
