Tiffany Darden joined Jones Mayer in 2025 and advises municipal clients on matters involving public agency governance, employment and labor law, police litigation, and regulatory compliance. She supports city attorneys and law enforcement agencies across California with legal research, policy development, and litigation strategy on a range of issues, including use-of-force incidents, civil rights claims, land use regulation, receivership, and workplace investigations.
Ms. Darden earned her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where she was a Sandra Day O’Connor Merit Scholar, a Grads to Golf Scholar, and a recipient of scholarships from the Arizona Black Bar. During law school, she participated in the Post-Conviction Relief Clinic and externed for the Honorable Michael Linfield at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from UCLA, where she was a UCLA Black Alumni Association Winston C. Doby Legacy Scholarship recipient, named to the Dean’s List, captained the Mock Trial Team, and completed coursework in international law in Paris and Brussels.
Her public service experience includes roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs. She has also held leadership positions in the private and electoral politics sectors, including serving as Chief of Staff to a media executive and as a Regional Organizing Director during a presidential campaign.
